Baritone Dong Kyu Oh obtained his Music Degree at the Korea National University of Arts. Once in the United States he studied a Masters Degree at the Arizona State University and afterwards, he signed up at the Mannes College New School for Music(PSD) for 2010 - 2012.

He has been awarded with several international prizes, such as First Prize and Most Promised Singer (Grand) prize to the singer with more impact in the NATS:National Association of Teacher of Singing Competition(2008), fifth place in the Palm Spring Opera Guild Competition(2008), first prize at the Arizona State University Soloist Competition(2009), second prize winner in the  Barry Alexander International Competition in New York(2009), final prize winner and Diploma in the Shizuoka International Opera Competition(2011), finalist and awarded Diploma in the Alfredo Giacomotti International Voice Competition, in Pavia, Italy(2012) and winner of the extraordinary prize at Francisco Viñas International Competition in Barcelona, Spain, offered by Mrs. Leonor Gago and awarded with an one-year contract with L.G Opera Management (2013).

Throughout his career he has sung the following roles: Don Parmenione (L ́occasione fa il ladro) with the Korean Arts University in 1997; Papageno (Il flauto magico), in 1999, with the Korean Arts University and, in 2003, with the Ópera de Besseto; during 2011, Falstaff (Falstaffcollaborating with the Boston Opera and Ópera Mannes in Manhattan, where he also sung Enrico (Lucia di Lammermoor) and Leporello (Don Giovanni) in 2012; Escamillo (Carmen) with the Concerlirica International Opera Company in Spain, in 2013; Escamillo (Carmen) and Sharpless (Madama Butterfly) with the L.G. Artist Management in Spain, in 2014 Spring season. He has signed for three years contract until 2017 season with the L.G. Artist Management in Spain.

Regarding his oratorio and concerts, he has performed, among others: Handel’s Messias at the Trinity Church in Phoenix and Nasung Church in Los Angeles (April, 2008), Idamante Summer Concert in Verona, Italy (July, 1998), Falstaff Opera Concert with Mannes Symphonic Orchestra (May, 2011), Marbella Summer Festival Concert with the Donbass Orchestra in Marbella, Spain(Aug, 2013), and Bass, Baritone Soloist for Dvorak’s Te Deum, Mendelssohn’s Die erste Walpurgisnacht with Greenwich Choral Society in Norwalk City Concert Hall, CO (May, 2014).
